Read the poem and enjoy.
Let Me Carry You
When you are alone
And don’t know what to do,
Always remember
I’ll be there for you.
A friend wants to help
In good times and bad,
Joining hands in togetherness
When happy or sad.
Things may not be
As bad as they seem,
Just follow your heart
Dream a happy dream.
Friends are a blessing
Always willing to share,
So if you need me
I’ll always be there.
Come rain or shine
Until the sun peeks through,
As a friend I ask
Please let me carry you.
– Ginny Bryant
The Kite Maker is a short story by British-Indian author Ruskin Bond. In it, an old man in
rural India muses on how the world has changed while his grandson flies a kite nearby.
