·  Indirect Object: It is a noun or a pronoun that receives the direct object (or is
                       affected by it).
                       Read the following example:

                              My father bought me       a new bike   .

                                           indirect object  direct object

             G  Intransitive verbs    are self sufficient and do not require an object to complete their action.

                  Read the following examples:
                       1.  Leena arrived     early this morning.             2.  He sneezed      repeatedly.


             G  An incomplete verb         is a verb that requires a complement to complete its meaning.
                  Verbs like ‘be’ (is, are, am, was, were, will be, shall be, etc.), ‘become’, ‘appear’,
                  ‘seem’ and ‘look’ are incomplete verbs.
                  Read the following examples:

                       1.  The dog is barking.                               2.  She looks puzzled.

             Verbs  can  be  either  main  verbs      or  auxiliary  verbs .  Auxiliary  verbs  are  used  with  main

             verbs to form tenses, passive forms. Some of the auxiliary verbs are – Can could will                    ,

             Except the above mentioned auxiliary verbs, others are main verbs.

             Auxiliary verbs can also be classified into two categories. They are:

             G  Principal Auxiliaries:     They can be used both as an auxiliary verb and as a main verb.
                  Be have,    and  do are principal auxiliary verbs.

             G  Modal Auxiliaries:       They can be used only as auxiliaries.

             Finite: All other verb forms are called finite    .

             Verbs have three forms. They are as follows:
             1.  The present tense (first form)                      2.  The past tense (second form)

             3.  The past participle (third form)
