· I, you, we and other plural subjects go with original verb (first form).
Read the following examples:
1. I do my work daily.
2. They play cricket everyday.
· In negative sentences, we use ‘does not’ with singular subjects (other than ‘I’),
while ‘do not’ is used with I, you, we, they and plural subjects with original verb.
Read the following examples:
1. She does not study sincerely.
2. I do not agree to this proposal.
· In interrogative sentences, ‘do’ with plural subject and / ‘does’ with singular
subject (other than I) is used before the subjects.
Read the following examples:
1. Does he write poem?
2. Do you know how to draw?
G Past Indefinite
· I, we, you and they go with second form of verb in affirmative sentences.
Read the following examples:
1. Rashmi wrote two letters yesterday.
2. I wrote few stories for the magazine.
· In case of ‘never’, verb is used in its second form.
Read the following example:
He never wrote a poem.
· In interrogative sentences, ‘did’ is used before the subject and original verb is used.
Read the following examples:
1. Did he write a story?
2. Did you write a letter?
G Future Indefinite
· In affirmative sentences with I and we, ‘shall’ is used and ‘will’ is used with rest
of subjects with original verb.
Read the following examples:
1. I shall write a letter.
2. You will go to the zoo.
· In negative sentences, ‘shall not / will not’ is used and in interrogative sentences
‘shall / will’ is used before subjects with original verb.
