The words that are used in place of nouns are called pronouns .
Read the following sentences:
Swati is a girl. Swati is tall. Swati is a girl. She is tall.
Swati has a big bag. Swati She has a big bag. She has
has short hair. Swati is a short hair. She is a good
good girl. Everybody likes girl. Everybody likes her.
Swati.
Swati is a naming word . When we talk about her, we do not repeat her
name again and again. We replace the naming words with the pronouns
such as she, her, it, etc.
Let us read some pronouns:

She These
It Those
Read some more examples:
1. She threw the ball to her friend, Molly. 2. This is his cycle.
