* What is the need of learning sign language?

Just as we go to school to study, the children who cannot hear and
speak go to special schools to learn reading and writing. They are
taught sign language besides other things. Movements of hands are
used and facial expressions express a person’s thoughts. It is difficult to
communicate without speaking and it needs a lot of patience.
Game of Dumb Charades
It is a game in which one player acts out the words and the other
players try to guess what it is. Points are given accordingly.
It is seen that children who cannot speak and hear are often very
talented. They can do a lot of other things. They can draw well, write
good poetry or are good in sports, theater and dance.
Sign Language
In sign language, manual alphabet is used for people who are deaf. In
this language, hands are used to show each letter of the alphabet.

* Have you ever watched the programme of news for deaf and dumb
people, on your TV?
* What are mudras?
These faces show expressions like scared, sad, happy, surprised and
angry.
