Future Tense
The future tense of verbs expresses events or activities that have not yet happened and that
will happen at some point in the future.
There are mainly four types of future tense. These are:
Simple future tense: It expresses actions that will occur in the coming time.
For example:
It will rain tomorrow.
The alarm will sound when you open the door.
Future continuous tense: It expresses actions that will be ongoing (actions that a doer will
be progressively doing) at some point in the future.
For example:
They will be waiting for you.
She will be retiring soon.
Future perfect tense: It expresses actions that will be finished at some point in the future or
those that will be finished before another future event.
For example:
By the time you arrive, we will have eaten dinner.
They will have lived in their new home for two years this fall.
