Internet Address
An internet address uniquely identifies a node on the internet. Internet address may
also refer to the name or IP of a Website(URL). The term internet address can also
represent someone’s email address.
The first part of the URL( Uniform Resource Locator) is called a protocol identifier and
it indicates its usage whereas the second part is called a resource name. It specifies
the IP address or the domain name where the resource is located. The protocol
identifier and the resource name are separated by a colon and two forward slashes.
