Opening Applications

We can open the applications using Start menu just like with the previous

versions of Windows.

To open applications.

1. Click on Start button in the bottom–

left corner.

2. Choose the desired application and

click on it. 1

If we don’t see the one we want,

select All Apps to see a full list of

applications.

Windows 8 and 8.1 are the previous version of Windows 10. There was no Start
Menu in Windows 8 and 8.1.

Working with Files

A file is a container in a computer system that stored information. Files

used in computers are similar to that of paper documents used in library
and office files. There are different types of files such as text files, data files,

directory files, binary files and graphic files. These different types of files

store different types of information.
