Components Inside a System Unit
Motherboard, CPU, Hard disk drive and CD-ROM drive are the main
components of a system unit.
It is also called the main board . It contains
large number of tiny electronic components.
Motherboard
It is the brain of a computer
which performs all the functions.
Central Processing Unit (CPU)
Drives are used to store data in a computer.
These drives are hard drive and CD-ROM.
Disk Drive

8 The front of the computer case has an ON/OFF switch, drives
and activity lights.
8 The back of the computer case has slots where we plug in other
computer components like mouse, keyboard, monitor etc.
8 The internal electronic components are protected by the system
unit.
